STEP 1 - Application

Missing emails

If you did not receive the email from us, check your Spam or Junk email folders. If you still can’t locate this email, check with the CLC office to confirm that we have your correct email address.

Additional troubleshooting
  1. You can search your inbox for the recipient address. The email will be sent from wenzaoclc@gap.wzu.edu.tw
  2. You can add wenzaoclc@gap.wzu.edu.tw to your Safe Senders list (instructions here) and ask the CLC office to resend the email to you.

STEP 2 - Upload Documents

  • A copy of passport or ARC
  • 1 photo (3.5 cm x 2.7 cm) 
  • A financial statement, showing a balance of at least US$2,000* (Skip this if you don't need to apply for a visa)
    1. A financial statement issued within 3 months and shows an ending balance exceeding US$ 2,000 or its equivalent.
    2. If using a family member's financial statement, please ask her or him to write a guarantor letter stating willingness to support your stay in Taiwan.
    3. If you are a scholarship recipient, you may submit your scholarship certificate in place of a financial statement. A proof of bank loan can also be submitted in place of a financial statement.

NOTE: According to Ministry of Education regulations, students applying for the visa of studying Chinese or the ARC, must take 15 hours a week.

STEP 3 - Tuition Payment

A Proforma Invoice of Tuition will be sent to the applicant by Email after the application is approved. 
You could pay the registration fee and tuition by: cash/ credit card/ remittance

STEP 4 - Visa Application

  1. Sign up to VISA APPLICATION SYSTEM online, fill in the application form with your details. You must print the completed form, remembering to include the barcode provided. 
  2. Visit your closest ROC Representative office or your countries FOREIGN AFFAIRS OFFICE to apply for your Visa. 

NOTE: The admission letter is only for the applicants who need a student visa.

STEP 5 - Registration

Register in person at the office of Chinese Language Center and take a proficiency test for class placement.

Wenzao was founded in 1966, as the one and only academic institution dedicated to the study of foreign languages. The Chinese Language Center (CLC) was established in 2002. Offering both academic and practical Chinese courses, CLC has attracted people from all over the world to study Chinese at Wenzao.
