The Tunghai Chinese Language Center offers a variety of rich Chinese language courses tailored for international students, ranging from beginner to advanced levels, suitable for learners of Chinese at any level.

Courses are offered in three terms each year: spring, summer, and fall. In addition to regular Chinese language courses, there are also after-class tutoring sessions with teaching assistants to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Chinese. Cultural visits and cultural experience classes are organized regularly.

• There are three classes per day, from Monday to Friday, totaling 15 hours per week.
• The spring and fall terms each consist of a 240-hour course over four months; the summer term offers a 120-hour course over two months.
• Morning classes run from 9:10 to 12:00; afternoon classes from 14:10 to 17:00.
• Students will be placed into levels based on a Chinese proficiency test conducted on the new student registration day.
• Each semester includes cultural and language exchange activities, with two cultural visits and two cultural classes in both the spring and fall terms; the summer term includes one cultural visit and one cultural class.
• Various student activities are held irregularly, including lectures, reading competitions/photography and essay competitions/presentations.
• Equal emphasis is placed on listening, speaking, reading, and writing, teaching both Hanyu Pinyin and traditional characters.
